The All‑Africa Pensions Summit is underway in Kampala, Uganda, running from 5-7 November 2025 at the Speke Resort and Conference Centre in Munyonyo. Watch it here on X https://x.com/i/broadcasts/1mrxmBNmagVKy
Under the theme “Pension Funds – Powering Africa’s Growth”, the summit brings together pension fund managers, investment professionals, policymakers and development institutions from across the continent to explore how Africa’s estimated US $1.3 trillion in pension assets can be mobilised for inclusive growth, infrastructure, and social-economic transformation.

Organised by National Social Security Fund Uganda (NSSF Uganda) in collaboration with the Africa Social Security Association (ASSA), the summit signals a strategic push to deepen Africa’s domestic finance capabilities.
Participants are engaging in discussions spanning asset-allocation frameworks for pension funds, regulatory best-practices, opportunities in infrastructure financing, and cross-border investment vehicles.
The gathering is intended to catalyse shifts in how pension capital interacts with Africa’s capital markets, private-sector growth, and national development agendas. According to NSSF Uganda, the goal is to foster “patient capital” from pension monies that drives long-term value across sectors.
