C-Care Uganda has announced major expansion plans aimed at strengthening access to specialised healthcare services across the country. The development was revealed by the company’s leadership during a media appreciation breakfast held at the Onomo Hotel in Kampala.
Speaking at the event, Andrew Mugalu, General Manager of C-Care IMC, said the healthcare network is scaling up its operations to bring quality medical care closer to communities.
“C-Care continues to set the pace for private healthcare in Uganda with 20 branches across the country and the largest number of medical specialities under one network,” Mugalu said.
“We are expanding to serve even more communities with a new 50-bed hospital and ICU facility in Gulu, complemented by 24/7 theatres and emergency services in Mbale, Mukono, Nakawa, and all our key branches.”
Mugalu added that this expansion demonstrates C-Care’s commitment to consistent, world-class healthcare delivery. Over the past year, the network has introduced new medical specialities and adopted innovative healthcare methods to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Miriam Musinga Mutero, General Manager of C-Care IHK, highlighted the organisation’s investment in specialist talent across fields such as oncology, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, and aesthetic surgery.
“Our focus goes beyond advanced technology — it’s about empowering Ugandan specialists to deliver world-class care right here at home,” she noted.
As part of Men’s Health Awareness Month (Movember), C-Care also launched a discounted prostate cancer screening campaign across all its facilities to promote early detection and prevention.
The media breakfast served as a platform for dialogue between C-Care and journalists, reinforcing mutual collaboration. Sheila Aboth, Head of Brand and Client Experience, said, “The media are essential allies in shaping Uganda’s healthcare story. Through collaboration and accuracy, we can build public confidence in local healthcare.”
The event concluded with a panel discussion on surgical innovation and patient care, reaffirming C-Care’s commitment to transparency, partnership, and improved health outcomes across Uganda.
