During events following the scuffle in the Parliamentary Chambers yesterday, Speaker Among suspended several MPs for three consecutive sittings and ordered the Sergeant at Arms to ensure the suspended MPs are evacuated from the Chambers.
“I am proceeding to name the MPs and suspend these members for three consecutive sittings from this House. The Members are suspended with immediate effect from the House. I am also evoking Rule 88(2) to order the above MPs to withdraw immediately from the House and according order the Seargent at Arms that they vacate the Chambers and therefore suspend the House for 15minutes,” said Among.
Here is the list of those suspended by the Speaker.

Relatedly Speaker Among has commended Nandala Mafabi (Budadiri West) and Abdu Katuntu (Bugweri County) for behaving like gentlemen and refusing to bow to pressure to move out of the Chambers, like some MPs opposed to the Coffee Bill did.
The Speaker also claimed that Anthony Akol (Kilak North) who was captured on camera beating up Francis Zaake (Mityana Municipality) would have remained in the Chambers, had he not been injured during the scuffle.
