As visitors and delegates gather in Uganda for the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo, visit https://www.poate2025.com/ , I want to share a personal experience that might just inspire your next unforgettable adventure while you’re here.
After days of networking and exhibitions, decide to venture out and explore one of Uganda’s natural wonders — the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Nothing could have prepared me for the magic that awaited me this year on that serene waterway. Watch Video here https://youtu.be/UDFiwNT8V3g
Stretching 32 kilometers and connecting Lake George to Lake Edward, the Kazinga Channel is a lifeline for an extraordinary range of wildlife.
But the true highlight? Coming face to face — well, boat to snout — with a massive hippopotamus. It emerged from the water with a slow, commanding grace, reminding me just how powerful and majestic nature can be.
The boat cruise on the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park is a two hours ride which gives visitors and opportunity to see and come closer a variety of wildlife such as buffaloes, hippos, elephants and many bird species.
Surrounded by basking crocodiles, sun-drenched buffaloes, and elegant water birds, I was immersed in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in East Africa.
The calm of the water contrasted beautifully with the thrilling presence of these animals, making it both a relaxing and electrifying experience.
For anyone seeking a deeper connection with Uganda’s natural heritage, the Kazinga Channel is not just a stopover — it’s a must-see.
So while you’re in Uganda for the POATE 2025, take off a day. Trade in your conference badge for a pair of binoculars and set sail through the Kazinga Channel.
Trust me, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve left the water — and the Expo.
