Uganda Police have intensified investigations into the gruesome murder of a prominent couple, Mr. Mutaaga David and his wife Deborah Florence Mutaaga, who were found dead at their home in Entebbe on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
According to a police statement, the couple’s murder has sparked a high-level multi-agency investigation, with authorities determined to track down those responsible for the heinous crime. The motive behind the killings remains unclear, but investigators are following several leads.
“We are working closely with other security agencies to identify and apprehend the suspect,” the police said. “A voice recording believed to be that of the suspect has been recovered. We call upon the public to help us identify the voice if it sounds familiar.”
To encourage public cooperation, the Uganda Police Force has announced a reward of UGX 50 million (approximately USD 13,000) for anyone with credible information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrator(s).
“This reward is meant to support and accelerate the investigation. No piece of information is too small,” the police emphasized.
