As Africa intensifies its digital transformation, South Africa is set to host the 28th edition of the Africa Tech Festival from November 11 to 13, 2025, at the Cape Town International Conference Centre.
The event remains the continent’s largest showcase of enterprise technology innovation, spanning telecoms, connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data centres, green ICT, and media and entertainment.
Cape Town’s selection as host city reinforces its status as Africa’s capital of technology. The Western Cape has evolved into a leading innovation hub, driven by the Cape Town-Stellenbosch tech corridor, which now supports over 450 technology firms and employs nearly 40,000 professionals.
This thriving ecosystem is powered by a network of accelerators, incubators, training institutions, and investors that sustain the region’s tech-driven growth.
With more than 60% of South Africa’s startups based in Cape Town, the city is also home to one of Africa’s most dynamic venture capital landscapes. Its combination of world-class universities, advanced digital infrastructure, a stable business climate, and an attractive lifestyle has made it a preferred base for global technology firms and investors seeking to tap into Africa’s innovation potential.
Cape Town’s progress in digital infrastructure and renewable energy is equally noteworthy, positioning it as a model for how technology can drive inclusive and sustainable development.

This year’s edition is expected to attract over 15,000 attendees, 300 exhibitors, and 450 speakers from across the world, connecting Africa’s digital ecosystem with global markets.
The festival will feature four flagship programmes — AfricaCom, AfricaTech, AfricaIgnite, and The AI Summit Cape Town — all united under a vision of responsible and inclusive digital growth. The event aims to deepen collaboration across technology, policy, and entrepreneurship to accelerate the continent’s development goals.
