ASP Amos Betungura, the Officer in Charge of Rubindi Police Station, confirmed the arrest and noted that the brothers will face charges of threatening violence.
Two brothers are in police custody in Mbarara District after allegedly chasing their 65-year-old mother, Irene Paskazia Kenteramo, from her home in Kariro, Kashari North.
The suspects, identified as Nuwagaba Julius (44) and Asiimwe Ronald (37), reportedly sold off their portion of the family property, squandered the money, and neglected their responsibilities, including caring for their children. Their mother had been looking after her five grandchildren, as the fathers had abandoned them.
