Former leader of the opposition also Mukungwe Nyendo legislator, Mathias Mpuuga has affirmed that he will not leave the National Unity Platform because he is one of the founding members of the NUP party.
Addressing the media at Parliament Mpuuga says that if there is any misconduct within the party, investigations must be done diligently without covering some members.
Mpuuga says it’s unfortunate that NUP is instead orchestrating plans of battling President Museveni’s “dynasty plans” to rule Uganda by transferring power to his son who has just been appointed Chief of Defence Forces -UPDF- CDF, are in petty fights.
On the matter of the letters written by NUP party president Robert Kyagulanyi withdrawing him as a parliamentary commissioner, Mpuuga says that he has no time to reply to such letters more so on social media.
He says if there’s any matter requiring him to reply too, he will do so legally.
