A remarkable transformation unfolded in Mitoma District as Susan Kyokusiima, a dedicated farmer and bar owner, saw her fortunes take a dramatic turn after winning UGX 50 million in the Uganda Breweries Laga Swagga Campaign.
Initially participating with the modest expectation of winning airtime, Susan was astounded when she emerged as the grand prize winner. She wisely invested her winnings to expand her business, acquire land, and secure a stable future for her family.

“I never imagined that entering this campaign would change my life so significantly. With the UGX 50 million, I have expanded my business and purchased additional land for farming. I now cultivate bananas, coffee, beans, groundnuts, and millet, and I have also invested in crossbreed cows. This opportunity has created a better future for my family. I was able to enroll all my children in better schools and even renovate my house to the standard I always dreamed of. Uganda Breweries has truly uplifted me,” Susan shared with excitement.

During the prize-giving event, Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) District Representative Ken Amanyire underscored the campaign’s broader impact. The Laga Swagga Campaign reached over one million consumers across Uganda, awarding a total of UGX 1 billion in prizes.
“Laga Swagga was not just about winning—it was about transforming lives. Susan’s story is a testament to our commitment to empowering our consumers. We are proud to see how she has utilized her prize to expand her business and invest in her future,” Amanyire remarked.

The Laga Swagga Campaign was designed to reward loyal consumers of Uganda Waragi, Bond 7, V&A, and Gilbeys, reinforcing Uganda Breweries’ dedication to celebrating and uplifting those who have supported its brands over the years.
Susan’s inspiring journey serves as a powerful reminder of how Uganda Breweries continues to make a tangible impact on communities, not only by promoting its brands but by actively uplifting and empowering Ugandans.
This is especially significant as Uganda Waragi celebrates its 60th anniversary, marking decades of excellence and community support.
